MY REACTION TO NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN STUDENTS' PRESIDENT'S ELECT UNWHOLESOME PRESENCE IN UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN
MY ARGUEMENT.... UITES SHINE UR EYES!
To start wt: a Civilization can't be destroyed without until it is destroyed within. University of ibadan is not a baby institution and as such, d present nans president is too forward to have come to start his assignment from University of Ibadan albeit his experience in struggle if any? The issue in ui has intentionally being blown out of proportion and exaggerated by some quarters in order to prove that d su is incapable inclusive d src and especially d students' Union President.
It is too early for NANS along wt its president elect and his cohorts to come and prove to the generality of Nigerian student that it has become a noble body over night by rushing to UI like a persona non grata to delve into issues that doesn't concern it at the moment saying it wants to save uites from being gagged.personally,I blv our institution can't be used as a litmus test for their questionable characters.
For the records, it is only the su president that has the power to invite NANS by written note through the two third majority of the src before NANS could move into any institution of its senators. This to a larger extent show d power of the union of that institution. Above all, NANS has to pre-inform d institution of their coming b4 arrival.
In addition, a situation of this magnitude requires that d presence of d su president is of utmost importance and as such even if he is trembled bcos of rumours of sdc letter,he shud be guided by his executive and d src and should be compelled to appear before d gathering of uites. This will show that uites generally wished d administration to be successful. And to a greater extent it goes to show that there is unity because only a divided house will nt stand.
Furthermore, presently nans is factionalised wt jos and ife factions. On that friday the NANS president elect came to ui,a particular comrade declared himself as NANS president elect on splash fm 105.5 in d afternoon. Please u people should ask k-bello (Kayode Bello). so, wich faction are uites planning to introduced to their mgt bearing in mind that ui is not a lawless institution.
Critically looking @ d so called NANS(National Association of Nigerian Student) president elect that day Friday, a rational minded person would know that that guy is under d influence of Indian hemp. In fact, merely looking @ him,he is an addicted indian hemp smoker. Is that d person u want to present to your management?
Lastly, nans is not a trustworthy body to fight the cause of uites from d fraternity established over night by all d aspirants involved in d election to extent and irrational rush to ui uninvited shows that they hv seen u pple as a raw material for financial gains not minding if t-cool (Tokunbo Salako) or labzy(Adelabu Adeola) was there. Uites u are not babies, I just want you people to wake up and realize that u can save yourselves by yourselves without external influence only if u do things according to what it is to operate in a lawful environment. Respect ur union,src(student representative council) and d union president.
The management respect only the gathering that can quote d constitution of d union. please everyone should refer to d constitution in d hand book cos d management cannot do anything outside it except d ones in d university act. Please everyone be calm, don't be emotional, be assertive and deal with d issues articulately.
