BUY NAIJA TO GROW THE NAIRA: CAN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DO IT ANY BETTER?

--By: Emmanuel Chuddy Aaron. (chuddylondon@yahoo.com) Our Country has been awakened to the need to patronize locally made goods. This move was triggered by a "Made-in-Aba" Trade Fair that held recently in the Nation's capital, Abuja. The locally made products which included shoes were attractively displayed at the Trade Fair. Of course, one can trust our 'elites' in the political space to have patronized the exhibitors by purchasing one or more impressive items. At the Trade Fair, the eyes of our Government officials were not only opened to the 'good things' that the Country's citizens are capable of innovating but they were also forced to become good advertisers and publicists thereof. It was this eye-opening event that motivated a Senator of our Federal Republic to purchase locally made vehicles from Innoson Motors, an indigenous vehicle manufacturing company. After such  purchases, they automatically became promoters of the Nigerian identity an

AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS MECHANICAL ENGINEER: A DIVINE GRACE.

AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS MECHANICAL ENGINEER: A DIVINE GRACE. How possible is it for one to bag such a honour as the theme of this writeup? My experience yesterday along Abeokuta new road along the Lagos ibadan express way gave me a clear understanding  of the level of nonchalant attitude in our society and self reliance mentality that we have built over the years but has turned us to being inhuman to ourselves in Nigeria. I left Abeokuta for Lagos around 8pm and after 15minutes drive away from the new president muhammadu buhari estate, my car throttle got stuck. I couldn't rave the car any more but the car could move at about 2km/hr. Because I was alone in the dark of the night around thick bushes and sounds of birds and squirrels, I decided not to stop at that pace until am close to a help. While moving I called my mechanic to ask for possible solution but he wasn't picking his calls. I call my sister she wasnt picking hers too but I realised later that she was actually obs

PRESIDENT BUHARI'S INAUGURAL SPEECH,MAY 29TH 2015.

FULL TEXT OF PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI'S INAUGURAL SPEECH... I am immensely grateful to God Who Has preserved us to witness this day and this occasion. Today marks a triumph for Nigeria and an occasion to celebrate her freedom and cherish her democracy. Nigerians have shown their commitment to democracy and are determined to entrench its culture. Our journey has not been easy but thanks to the determination of our people and strong support from friends abroad we have today a truly democratically elected government in place. I would like to thank President Goodluck Jonathan for his display of statesmanship in setting a precedent for us that has now made our people proud to be Nigerians wherever they are. With the support and cooperation he has given to the transition process, he has made it possible for us to show the world that despite the perceived tension in the land we can be a united people capable of doing what is right for our nation. Together we co-op

MASTERS SLAVE LEADERSHIP IN NIGERIA.

Political position does not make anyone a super human being.Once you like a political leader, it does not mean he can't be criticized by you. In fact, every step taken by a politician tells a lot about him because our actions depicts our thought. In most of the support we give politicians that enjoy our perception of him,we tend to be sentimental yet we condemn other politicians that do or has done same thing our own loved politician is doing or has done. All these kind of attitude wont take us or our Nation anywhere. Many of us dont know ourselves physically but we interact with wrong impression daily. Many of us have been consumed and overtaken with hardship and many have been consumed and overtaken with comfort and pleasure and so, we are always having a countering views and opinions filled with sentiments. Our reactions and perceptions seem to be a reflection of our condition. The rich and well to do think no more about the poor and the poor think nothing more that the
