APPALLING WASTE DISPOSAL AT UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN ENTRANCE GATES.

Image
University of Ibadan Entrance Gate To live in peace we must live with understanding and empathy.- Akande Akin Sanyaolu. A drive through Unibadan entrance gate early in the morning, i realised that, it is very annoying seeing gigantic waste being disposed in front of the University of Ibadan main gate and the second gate. The early morning sight of those solid waste is not encouraging at all even though its on the middle of the sango-ojoo express way but its deploring the aesthetics of the University of Ibadan frontage and surroundings. I want to use this opportunity to inform and call the attention of the university management to this gory sites. It directly or indirectly speak a lot about our sensitivity and insensitivity towards the institutions environment if consideration is placed on the weight the institution commands in the society. I also want to implore the management to place a restriction sign at strategic locations close the the two important entrance gates s

AN OPEN LETTER TO GOVERNOR/OGBENI RAUF AREGBESOLA OVER GBONGAN TOWN.

Image
Ogbeni Aregbesola After spending 3-days in Gbongan Osun State, I discovered that the town needs the state government's attention. It is expedient that I write this because Gbongan town is an entering point to Osun state just like Ikire. On a serious note, Ikire shared almost the same characteristics challenges with Gbongan but its more developed. I discovered that many of the roads in Gbongan  have not being tarred and about 3months ago there was a wind disaster that pulled off most buildings roof and till now many homes are without roof and its painful seeing families sleeping in a building without roof. The gigantic fly over under construction by the state government is encouraging but what's the benefit cost ratio of such project if compared to expending such an amount in firstly developing Gbongan town. I must also be quick to commend the  effort of the Gbongan community association over the successful completion of the Gbongan Town Hall. It was commenda

LIQUID SOAP PRODUCTION

Liquid soap as the name implies, is soap in liquid form. It is a cleansing agent and it is a multi-purpose cleanser. Liquid soap is also known as liquid detergent. It has the ability to emulsify oils and hold dirt in suspension. Liquid detergents (Soap) share same properties with solid detergents. A detergent is expected to consist of the surface-active agents or ingredients which are the essential ingredients and supplementing ingredients. In all detergents, the surface-active agent forms the most important part of the detergent. All the ingredients needed in the production of liquid soap will be listed later. Note: in this lesson we hope to learn a multi- purpose liquid soap. That is, one that can be used for basic cleansing like: washing of plates, cars, laundry etc. Materials (chemicals) Needed For The Production Of 20 Litres Of Liquid Soap 1. Nitrosol/Antisol or C.M.S ...............1 tin milk cup. 2. Sulphonic acid..............1 litre 3. Caustic soda. ........1/3 tin

Investing In Palm Kernel Processing

The oil that is derived from palm kernel is used for cosmetic product making and other vital industrial purposes. This business is one of the hidden lucrative and profitable business that many people are yet to know much about or anything at all. Unless you are told of how lucrative this business is by an insider, you will never believe it makes any money let alone making millions. But I can tell you for certainty and for free that palm oil extraction business is a mega millions business. Are you aware that palm kernel oil product is one of the few product you can sell right at the point of production, without necessarily needing to take it to the market? Depending on your financial capacity, It can be run in a small, medium and large scale. You may be wondering but where can one get palm kernel in large quantity? It is produced in hundreds of thousands tones in the Eastern part of Nigeria annually. All you need to do is to go set up this business around the east or you transpo

Global Warming: - The Bandwagon & Extreme Approximation Effects.- Segun Phillips-Alonge

The greenhouse effect aka global warming is a hot research and economic topic these days. Before proceeding with the discourse, please permit a brief definition of the “infamous” greenhouse gas. Greenhouse gas is simply a layer of fluid enveloping a planet, it absorbs and redistributes the sun’s energy back to the globe as light and heat within the thermal infrared range. Several scientific reports view global warming as the human-made apocalypse that will destroy humanity and render the earth uninhabitable without a timely and appropriate remedy.  The race against time to mitigate the adverse impacts of human activity on the planet is now at full momentum. What started a few years ago as simple academic exercise is now a flourishing multi-trillion-dollar industry with nearly eight billion patrons. However, the notion that virgin earth was greenhouse effect free is as nonsensical as the conjecture that greenhouse gas is the enemy. Without greenhouse gas, the earth will be a deserted

WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE EMBRACING EITHER OF GOODLUCK EBELE J. AND MOHAMMADU BUHARI DIFFERENTLY?

I want to accept that pmb can't steal our money but those under him are stealing, right? This was the same problem gej faced. And that's why pmb must be criticised same way gej was criticised and possibly voted out come 2019. Present revelations has shown that the stealing is not and can never be by the presidents but by their subordinates because pmb and gej are not obj. 1. Look at 2016 budget padding 2. Look at jubrins revelation 3. Look at Abba Kyari's N500million bribe 4. Look at AGF MTN penalty of N50billion paid to his account 5. Look at magu corruption 6. Look at N270million for cutting grass 7. Look at several billions budgeted for aso villa renovation 8. Look at multiple media appointment on same post 9. Look at insensitive price increase of gas, diesel, kerosine and PMS 10. Look at the rot in the judiciary Did all these things happen under corrupt gej administration? Yes and No!! Yes because gej tenure witnessed its own type corruption affairs and No

THE TRUTH SHALL ALWAYS PREVAIL OVER FALSEHOOD. N-POWER ON MY MIND.

I am not an applicant in the N-power program not because I wasn't moved by such a plausible program but because the government is yet to convince me about its sincerity and the fact that I don't need such job as its purpose is not planned towards employment sustainability for the graduate youths just like the BOI YES-P.  Daily, the government does good and bad thing at the same time wherein each moves contradicts one another because they are all geared towards time wasting. In all sincerity, this government knows the worth of time to be used to its selfish interest whilst forgetting that itself is time bound. The message is this: I understand that a handful of my friends in youthful category applied for the N-power and till date no reasonable and sensible result have been achieved on the program except media propaganda if not, many of the beneficiaries supposed to have been spreading information about appointment letters and credit alerts especially during the Yuletides. Ou

NIGER DELTA MILITANT IS THE NEXT IN LINE TO BE CURTAILED FOR THE WAY FORWARD FOR NIGERIA AFTER BOKO HARAM.

I don't support dialogue with criminals in a nation with laws.- Akande Akin Sanyaolu. All unregistered association must be curtailed and dialogue with them will only make new ones spring up. Everyone should obey the law and every agitations should be written and pushed duly through constituted authorities and not through violence. BH is crushed and any unrecognised group must be crushed without favour, preference and partiality or biases. The governors and royal fathers in the Niger delta  to me, seem to be the major players in the violence agitation in the oil producing region. Don't get me wrong! The federal government too has its faults especially delaying restructuring and or resource control but in a land with laws, anyone that carries arms against the nation without being a military personnel is a criminal. All in all, the Niger delta leaders and elders are the major headache to peace in the Niger delta region because many of the agitators who are young men have b

MY UNSHAKEABLE DESIRE TO TRANSFORM OYO STATE

I look forward to standing on the podium and beating the likes of seyi makinde, teslim folarin, sugar, jogor and anyone not listed here with my economic plan for Oyo state in a debate. I have been receiving some funny inbox from youth like me and in such instances I blushed . I am only being worried on what the youths have been turned to. The funniest thing is that my colleagues think the 2019 is going to be about money. Lolz!! I dey laugh. By 2019, I am so sure that our debate and campaign would have cut money politics mentality to about 30%. Our vote is therefore within the remaining 70% awakened and liberated souls in Oyo state. Its normal that fellow young men feel bad that this mission is getting recognised daily but the fact is that, an all inclusive government like never before is what we will operate. Take a look at the social media and my singular presence whilst every other persons are warming up for the job ahead. We will bring governance close to the people covering

PRICE OF LOCALLY MADE RICE STILL AN EXPLOITATION OF THE PEOPLE

Under gej's administration, good quality imported rice was sold at N7,500 till the end of his administration in May, 2015. Now, we have a lot of low quality and imported and smuggled rice at exorbitant prices courtesy of the fire brigade banning approach of the pmb led administration. Don't get me wrong! I am not against the drive to promote consumption of locally made rice but what's the sense in buying a 50kg bag of locally made rice for N12,000 without any importation duties hassle when good quality imported rice before the ban was sold at N7,500? A wide price merging of N4,500!!! We are still being cheated and exploited. As much as I care, a bag of 50kg locally made rice shouldn't exceed N8,000 max for sense to be made in the local production drive and a total ban on importation of rice and blockage and seizure of smuggled ones through the boarders. My humble opinion. God bless The Federal Republic of Nigeria. Akande Akin Sanyaolu.

Military Cattle Ranch – Trivialization of Duty or Trade Militarization?

Military Cattle Ranch –  Trivialization of Duty or Trade Militarization? .....Olusegun Phillips-Alonge A nation’s military is a strategic asset instituted and empowered by the dictates of her Constitution for the sole purpose of defense against internal and external aggressions. As such, military entities are an apolitical institution with a singular focus on maintaining the integrity, peace, and safety of the nation. Military involvement in extra-constitutional activities is a dangerous distraction that borders on the trivialization of duty and a willful subversion of the Constitution. The four functions of the Nigerian army are listed in Sections 217-220 of the 1999 Constitution as: • Defending Nigeria from external aggression, • Maintaining territorial integrity and securing Nigeria’s land, air, and sea borders from violation, • Suppressing insurrection and aid civil authorities to restore order when called upon to do so by the President subject to conditions as may be prescrib

WHY THE N-POWER IS NOT ENCOURAGING NOW THAT WE NEED RESTRUCTURING AND PARADIGM SHIFT IN GOVERNING STYLE.

Policy inconsistency and show of ineptness has been the bane of all programs, plans and projects of Nigeria's government since 1960 and this is due to lack of love , exhibition of ego and pride and a show of competitive mentality on the part of the people assigned either through election or selection to sail the ship of state called Nigeria and this must stop. The same government that cancelled YouWin program of the last administration came up with youwinconnect. What's in name changing? The same government that cancelled surep program came up with N-power. What's in the name changing? And the funniest thing is that many who rose against surep despite being a crooked private public initiative program because it breeds laziness are now praising npower. What sort of hypocrisy have we been cursed with as a people? There's no one on earth that doesn't like good thing thereby praying for the failure of the government of his or her nation instead, the people nagged aga

FINANCE MINISTER SHOULD STOP FURTHER PAYMENT OF RUNNING COST OF HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES MEMBERS WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT

Image
PRESS STATEMENT BY HON. ABDUMINI JIBRIN *Nigerians, MDA's and companies should shun Reps invitations *Forwarded first list of 50 Members involved in running cost fraud to EFCC *Urge Executive Arm to stand up to possible blackmail from the House After about 10 weeks since I commenced exposing corruption in the House of Representatives, Speaker Dogara and other accused persons are yet to respond to dozens of allegations bordering on budget fraud, abuse of office and public trust and corruption. This is in addition to my revelation that there exist chronic, deep-rooted, monumental and systemic corruption in the House. In the light of the foregoing, I wish to make the following statements and demands: 1-I am also demanding the Minister of Finance, Accountant General of the Federation, Attorney General of the Federation and Clerk of National Assembly in exercising my right as a citizen of Nigeria to stop with immediate effect further payments of running cost allowances to

ADDRESS BY PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI ON 56TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY. OCTOBER 1ST 2016

Image
President Mohammadu Buhari(GCFR) Today – 1st October is a day of celebration for us Nigerians. On this day, 56 years ago our people achieved the most important of all human desires – freedom and independence. We should all therefore give thanks and pray for our founding fathers without whose efforts and toil we would not reap the bounties of today. 2. I know that uppermost in your minds today is the economic crisis. The recession for many individuals and families is real. For some It means not being able to pay school fees, for others it's not being able to afford the high cost of food (rice and millet) or the high cost of local or international travel, and for many of our young people the recession means joblessness, sometimes after graduating from university or polytechnic. 3. I know how difficult things are, and how rough business is. All my adult life I have always earned a salary and I know what it is like when your salary simply is not enough. In every part of our n

ARE WE TRULY AN INDEPENDENT NATION AND PEOPLE?

Image
A Nigerian boy hosting the National Flag To our imagination we still pride ourselves as being an independent nation but I ask myself daily, are we truly an independent people? Are we truly free from colonial slavery and mental trauma? These are my reasons: 1. Majority of our people in position of power or authority threat and treat others like slave " master/slave relationship". This is most pronounced when approaching a police checkpoints. The way they brandish their AK47 while trying to stop you for a check showed to a greater extent that we are still under self inflicted slavery or better still in the dark. 2. The level of exploitation of our government agency showed to a greater extent the disparity between those who have had a blessing and those who have been cursed. 3. Nigerians struggle daily to make the government listen to them 4. Policies and laws are being forced on us without our thought being sought on such policies and laws before passage by those

HOW TRUE IS THIS CLAIM ABOUT GMO FOOD?

Image
GMO FOOD UNDER LABORATORY CHECK GM technology has been around for the past 20 years, and today, 70-80% of the foods in the United States, contain ingredients that have been genetically modified. Many of the most influential regulatory agencies and organizations that study the safety of the food supply, including the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, the American Medical Association, the World Health Organization, Health Canada, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the National Academy of Sciences, have found genetically modified food ingredients are safe and there are no negative health effects associated with their use. Ingredients grown using GM technology require fewer pesticides, less water and keep production costs down. In fact, GM technology helps reduce the price of crops used for food, such as corn, soybeans and sugar beets by as much as 15-30%.GM technology allows farmers to use fewer chemicals, such as pesticides. It also helps them utilize more environmentally
