ON WHY OUR NATION'S PROBLEM IS POVERTY.

I wrote an article about poverty as the clog to our national progress, growth and development on Eid Mubarak day. In one of the pages i shared the article, someone commented by first appreciating the article and then posited that our nation's problem isn't poverty but corruption and I responded thus:

Poverty breeds corruption my brother. There are different classes of poverty:

1. Spiritual poverty
2. Mental  poverty
3. Physical poverty

You can see that they are sequential? This is because they affect one another. The first is determined by our closeness to the supreme being,God. It is connected to our religion,to our moral values at home, religious and traditional values, educational values and respect of oneself.

Spiritual poverty is ignited by deceits and hypocrites which make us far from God and be pursuing worldly and earthly gains according to Gal 5:20-25 on the fruits of the spirit, thereby, making us to be spiritually poor leading to mental poverty, greed is thus spread.

The primary reason for the existence of government is the people but since most of our leaders are spiritually poor, they can never have mental riches to harness our nation's resources to be transformed to wealth for the people's gain and so,there's mental poverty on the side of our leaders and the people, the resulting effect is therefore, physical poverty nationwide, desperation, inpatients and general corruption. We need to be calm to understand the essence of spirituality as the bedrock of the physical control.

May God liberate our nation and homes.

We shall overcome this challenges one day only if we preach salvation in our various religious denomination as against wealth that breeds greed, desperation and competition amongst us leading us to forget the essence and purpose we are on earth.
