MASTERS SLAVE LEADERSHIP IN NIGERIA.

Political position does not make anyone a super human being.Once you like a political leader, it does not mean he can't be criticized by you. In fact, every step taken by a politician tells a lot about him because our actions depicts our thought.
In most of the support we give politicians that enjoy our perception of him,we tend to be sentimental yet we condemn other politicians that do or has done same thing our own loved politician is doing or has done. All these kind of attitude wont take us or our Nation anywhere.
Many of us dont know ourselves physically but we interact with wrong impression daily. Many of us have been consumed and overtaken with hardship and many have been consumed and overtaken with comfort and pleasure and so, we are always having a countering views and opinions filled with sentiments. Our reactions and perceptions seem to be a reflection of our condition. The rich and well to do think no more about the poor and the poor think nothing more that the rich are the ones destabilizing the polity. The rich detest the poor and the poor detest the rich and so, our society have been" survival of the fittest" Somehow, we have turned machine forgetting that we are humans. We have grown thick skin towards human feeling in our society. What has lead us to this? Sentiments, selfishness, wickedness, greed, covetiousness and so many arbitrary things linking worldly pursuit. Personally, i know that our mission in politics is because of our people and our Nation. This is no gain saying. As political office holders, i believe we should be conscious of time in dpoing what we promised to do for our people as projected within the constraint of our budget. So, i think mouth watering promises is an aberration to any government. Every government is time bound. As you come in start thinking of handing over and as such work within your blue print.
When you criticise, some think you are doing it for political reasons. What a funny impression! Political position cant be compared to the life of any Nigerian. If not madness, why do people kill or engage in fraudulent activity because of public service? Think about it...."public service" Service to father land. In public service, especially those in the political positions, the take home and allowances supposed to be the lowest in the country but the reverse is the case. A look at the budget of change, one cant help but laughed when a socalled change budget is filled with personal benefits and recurrent expenditures. How can we develop as a Nation? The president promised he was going to board many of the presidential fleet to the bearest minimum but till date we are not hearing anything again. Do we need such fleet of aircraft in a Nation that is finding its economic feet? Even so many countries that we may end up borrowing from dont live the kind of luxury life our political office holders are living.
Presently, everything has gone business as usual. We have forgotten that the federal executive members are supposed to make their assets public. What a nation, people and leaders! I am not saying anything here to paint myself as a saint but saying it the way it is supposed to be. Our expectation during the campaign was glaring to the present government and sincerely,i believe no one forced it to make mouth watering promises it can not achieve within the least expected time frame. For 9months now, the only thing i have been reading is prosecution and prosecution nothing more. A serious government with foresight by now after 9months would have done things with retrieved or repatriated funds to better the life of the people but what we have been receiving in return is increased charges in different names and appellations. No employment has been created thus far. No school children has been fed thus far. No unemployed graduates have been financially empowered thus far. Fuel price has not been commensurable with the global downturn of crude. Kerosine enjoyed by the poor people have gone up. Price being the wheel of the economy has not been favourable to the masses because of the devaluation and uselessness of the Naira.
Daily, since 9 months its like we kept on reading the same news. Media houses have been busy doing just copy ,paste and little addition. And the annoying thing is that some Nigerians keep encouraging abysmality daily, saying these things cant be done over night. We are sane people, we really do not say those things promised should be done within 9months in entirety. What has been done? Prosecution? I dey laugh!! Thats the duty of the antigraft agency and the judiciary not the duty of the president and his ministers.
Daily we allow sentiments to becloud our reasons. criticism is not hate. The master slave colonial mentality in our National leadership must stop!!! Which way forward?
