POLITICAL CLAMPING OF NIGERIA'S MEGA PORTS FOR BUNKERING PURPOSES.

POLITICAL CLAMPING OF NIGERIA'S MEGA PORTS FOR BUNKERING PURPOSES.

The man dies in him that keeps quiet in the faces of injustice.- Prof Wole Soyinka.

I have come to terms that intentional efforts of government at making Delta and Rivers State seaports nonfunctional has always been targeted strictly for bunkering activities by our boirgoises in power and private capitalists, majority who are claiming over night billionaires.

Take Delta State, for instance. It has four seaports in Warri, Burutu, Sapele and Koko, which combined capacity exceeds that of all other ports in Nigeria put together.

In Rivers State, we have the Onne and Port-Harcourt ports in Rivers State.

In Cross River, we have the Calabar Port which to the best of my knowledge is not yet in operation.

Unlike open operation of Lagos seaports, Management of port operations at Port Harcourt has been commissioned out to two port operators, Ports and Terminal Operators and BUA Ports and Terminal, it is not operated by the NPA.

Delta State and Rivers State are a principal petroleum-producing region of Nigeria yet, Port Operation there ,instead of being maximal like Lagos Port has always being a tool of political sentiments and bunkering activities by our politicians and thievery billionaires.

If critically looked into, Rivers State port and that of Delta combined could take in more revenues compare to Lagos if properly harnessed but unfortunately we have leaders who are driven by tribal sentiments in position of authority.

So, when you read people shouting Lagos Ports with media publicity creating a feeling as if other states are docile port-wise, know this that everything has always being intentionally motivated by our greedy political leaders just so that the economy of those states get crippled.

Delta State and Rivers State has the capacity and what it takes to surpass Lagos state in revenues even without high population but we have always been having inept in power in Nigeria.

The 2023 election I feel, is the litmus test to know if Nigerians are truly ready to rescued and liberated.

God won't come down to help anyone!!!
