I have come to terms that intentional efforts of government at making Delta and Rivers State seaports nonfunctional has always been targeted strictly for bunkering activities by our boirgoises in power and private capitalists, majority who are claiming over night billionaires. Take Delta State, for instance. It has four seaports in Warri, Burutu, Sapele and Koko, which combined capacity exceeds that of all other ports in Nigeria put together. In Rivers State, we have the Onne and Port-Harcourt ports in Rivers State. In Cross River, we have the Calabar Port which to the best of my knowledge is not yet in operation. Unlike open operation of Lagos seaports, Management of port operations at Port Harcourt has been commissioned out to two port operators, Ports and Terminal Operators and BUA Ports and Terminal, it is not operated by the NPA...
